DeLoach Family Ties Programs

Program Overview:

DeLoach Family Ties Organization: It is designed to address the critical needs of low-income families and communities by facilitating access to essential resources. The program offers comprehensive support, including but not limited to assistance in areas such as rental aid, utilities, housing solutions, credit counseling, life skills development, continuing education opportunities, and support for substance abuse recovery. Through these services, “Resource Referral” aims to empower individuals and families, fostering long-term stability and resilience within the community.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the “Resource Referral” program, families must meet the
following criteria:

  • Must be an Essex County Resident and have documentation to confirm.

Program Structure:

  1. Application Process: Families in need will fill out an application form on the DeLoach Family Ties website or contact the organization directly to request assistance. The application will include information about the household, income sources, and documentation of the financial hardship.
  2. Verification: The organization will review the applications and verify the provided documentation to confirm eligibility for the program.
    • A DFT Intake must be completed on-line via zoom.
    • Enrollment is considered active and current for 90 days, after 90 days new intake must be completed obtaining current information
    • Head of Household and members 18 years of age or over must be able to provide proof of income if referral is for:
      • Rental assistance
      • Utility Assistance
      • Housing

      Income Guidelines and income maximums will be determined using all household members income.

      Acceptable Documents for proof of income:

      • 30 days paystub (current)
      • Disability check
      • Unemployment Check
      • Letter from employer on company letterhead with full name and contact information of employer

      Some documents are not required if Client falls in the category of the following situation.
      • Domestic Violence
      (a notarized letter confirming zero income is required if household members stating no income)
  3. If Referral to any of the following agencies is made a conference call will be made to introduce the client to the agency or contact to initial a soft hand off.
    • Employment services
    • Education related
    • Credit counselling
    • Life Coaching
  4. A phone call will be made to client the day within 30 days to obtain an update and note records of the outcome/resolution of referral. 6. Client must consent to signing a video release form.
  5. Year-end total counts will be based on the number of completed intakes and surveys by year end.
  6. Funding for this program will be based on and be obtained from private donors, Walmart, and other store organizations. Donations will also be collected from public and private individuals.
  7. This Program is based on building relationships with other vendors, agencies, and other organizations.

  • Support and Assist families and communities in need.

Impact:

  • Provide necessary and essential items to communities and families in need
    while promoting the overall well-being and health of families and
    Communities.

By implementing the “Community Feed & Give back” program, DeLoach
Family Ties aims to provide immediate support to individuals and families
assisting with building stronger communities working toward developing a
more stable community.
