Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the “30 Days of Relief” program, families must meet the following criteria:

  1. Must be working class or low-income households.

  2. Must have a source of income, however modest.

  3. Must provide proof of financial hardship such as an eviction notice, utility shut-off notice, car repair invoice, or any other emergency financial situation causing distress.

Program Structure:

1. Application Process: Families in need will fill out an application form on the DeLoach Family Ties website or contact the organization directly to request assistance. The application will include information about the household, income sources, and documentation of the financial hardship.

2. Verification: The organization will review the applications and verify the provided documentation to confirm eligibility for the program.

3. Intake of Preferences and Household information: Families will be contacted to determine their dietary preferences and any dietary restrictions. This information will be used to plan the food deliveries. All family members names, date of birth and employment information will be collected during the intake process.

4. Delivery Arrangements: Once eligibility is confirmed, arrangements will be made for the delivery of FDA-approved nourishing foods to the household. Deliveries will occur once a week for four consecutive weeks, ensuring a consistent supply of groceries during the relief period.

5. Contactless Delivery: All deliveries will be made to the front of the house or on the porch to maintain a contactless process. Entry inside the house is not permitted to ensure safety.

6. Recipient Presence: An adult member of the household must be present to receive the delivered items on the scheduled delivery day.

Program Goals:

  1. Alleviate financial stress for families facing emergency situations.

  2. Enable families to prioritize and pay overdue bills, rent arrears, car repairs, utility bills, and other essential expenses.

  3. Ensure that families receive nourishing and balanced meals during the 30-day assistance period.

Impact:

  • Empower families to regain financial stability.

  • Prevent homelessness and utility shutoffs.

  • Promote the overall well-being and health of families in need.
